This contest is organized as a non-profit initiative to promote Arabic art and support emerging poetic talents by sharing participants’ content across various Alumniyat networks, including the official website, social media pages (Facebook, YouTube, and more). This agreement constitutes the legal contract governing the rights and obligations of participants and users and is subject to the laws of the State of California, United States.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By agreeing to participate in the Meeting of Wishes Contest or submitting any content for publication on Alumniyat Press or any of its platforms, you accept the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement. These terms are binding for all participants and users, covering all materials submitted to the electronic platforms associated with Alumniyat Press.
2. Ownership of Content
By submitting any materials or content for publication within the Alumniyat network (including the website, YouTube, Facebook, and others), you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- All submitted materials, including text, images, audio recordings, and videos, become the exclusive property of Alumniyat Press.
- Participants or users are not entitled to request the removal of content once published on our platforms or to claim any financial returns or share in advertising revenue generated from the use of this content.
3. Non-Profit Nature of the Contest
- The Meeting of Wishes Contest is a non-profit initiative aimed at supporting and developing Arabic poetry and enhancing audience engagement with creative expression.
- The cash prize, if provided, is determined solely by the site’s administration. Alumniyat Press reserves the right to withhold a cash prize during certain periods or occasions.
4. Right to Modify Content and No Deletion Guarantee
- Alumniyat Press reserves the right to modify content to fit its editorial policy and retains the right not to delete the participant’s name or any materials submitted for the contest once published.
- If a participant decides to withdraw from the contest after initially agreeing to participate, the submitted content will remain on the Alumniyat network platforms and will not be removed.
5. Waiver of Financial Claims or Advertising Revenue
- The participant agrees that submitting content does not entitle them to any financial returns, whether from prize funds or advertising revenue that may be displayed alongside the content.
6. Dispute Resolution
- This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States.
- In the event of any dispute between the site and the participant, California state laws shall apply, and the dispute shall be resolved in the competent courts of that state.
